We are officially moved and unpacked. We left my lovie dovie Washington state on December 9th and moved back to the California Bay Area. We are still hanging pictures and procuring furniture for empty spaces, but there are no more boxes to unpack. I miss my friends and family like crazy, crazy, but I am glad to at least move back somewhere that I don't have to make friends all over again.
Last week my husband built me a table for my craft room. This is kind of a big deal. A big deal that I have a craft room and a big deal that he not only built it within a day or two of saying he would, but that it was completed in one day! The best part about it is that it is big enough for me to spread multiple projects out on or have some ladies over to craft with me. That being said, I have started a craft group on meetup.com called... wait for it.... Contra Costa Creative Crafters. You can find us here. http://www.meetup.com/Contra-Costa-Creative-Crafters/ and after a couple days, I already have 3 members! I also scored a ton of free golf balls off Craigslist...when I say a ton, I mean half a bathtub full. So I am thinking of great things to do with golf balls like.... lamps, candle holders, picture frames, shadowbox artwork, keychains and lots more. I have modpodge/glittered some of them green and I think they would be pretty just by themselves in a clear glass vase.
The twerp starts preschool this week for 3 days a week for 4 hours a day. And I start back at my old job at the consignment shop two days a week for 2 hours a day, I can only imagine the crafting Im going to get myself into.
So here's to the new year, the new house, the new craft room, and whatever else might be new or gently used in my life. I hope to post some tutorials soon....here's to not making a liar out of myself.
